After the local team rolled the Illini in a rug and dropped them Olentangy River on Senior Day, the eyes of Buckeye Kingdom instantly shifted to Ann Arbor for the 114th rendition of The Game.
Ohio State could be ranked higher than No. 9 when it travels to Michigan in six days to face a Wolverines squad coming off a 24-10 loss to Wisconsin in Madison.
Michigan also lost starting quarterback Brandon Peters, who boarded an ambulance at Camp Randall after suffering a head injury in the third quarter. Peters had been a revelation for the offense since supplanting John O'Korn against Rutgers.
Jim Harbaugh said after the game Peters underwent tests and would join the team for the flight home. Never one to offer much on player injuries, Harbaugh will likely keep Peters' status unknown until the first snap.
Harbaugh is 0-2 as a coach against the Buckeyes. His last attempt, in 2016, ended with a 30-27 double overtime loss at the hands of Curtis Samuel.
Overall, Michigan hasn't won a game in the series since 2011, with Ohio State having won the last 14 of 16. The Wolverines lead the series, 58-48-6.
The 2017 rendition of The Game kicks off Nov. 25th at noon on FOX.
