Bruce Feldman of FOX Sports reported earlier this month that Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano was a hot commodity in NFL circles.
With the New England Patriots set to lose their defensive coordinator to the Detroit Lions after the Super Bowl, NBC Boston reported Thursday evening that Schiano was "expected" to interview for the vacancy after the Super Bowl.
Friday night, the Columbus Dispatch's Tim May, the G.O.A.T. of the Ohio State beat, reported an "impeccable" source told him nothing was imminent.
An impeccable source has told me NO interview has been set up between Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano and the New England Patriots. FYI

May isn't one to recklessly throw around the word "impeccable," yet we may have a difference of semantics on our hands.
NBC Boston chose the word "expected" for a reason. Obviously, it's all hands on deck this week in Foxborough. Bill Belichick has more important things on his hands than scheduling interviews for a vacancy that has yet to officially materialize.
Belichick respects Schiano, and he will soon have a defensive coordinator opening. Those are the facts.
Until he hires somebody that isn't Schiano, this will be a space to watch.
