Peter Badovinac, a former quarterback for Michigan State, is joining Ohio State's coaching staff as a defensive graduate assistant, according to a report from The Athletic's Chris Vannini.

While Badovinac was a quarterback for the Spartans, where he played only sparingly as a backup in 2011, he has been the linebackers coach at Missouri State for the past three years, after two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant at Missouri.
Presumably, Badovinac will fill the assistant linebackers coach position vacated by Ryan Crow, who joined the Tennessee Titans as an assistant defensive line coach last month. Ohio State's posting for that opening last month stated that the Buckeyes were looking to hire a coach with an "extensive spread offensive background."
