Down by 27-26 with just over a minute left to go, Penn State faced a critical fourth-and-5 with the game on the line.
The Nittany Lions weren't even close to converting.
Chase Young shot through the line of scrimmage and made a tackle on the ballcarrier well in the backfield, sealing the come-back victory for the Buckeyes.
Many Nittany Lion fans and college football fans alike were puzzled by the play call, and one Penn State fan expressed his displeasure right to the source.
"Fourth and five, you should have passed it, coach," the fan said to James Franklin as he walked off the field. "I love you, but that's a bad call."
Franklin, as you can see in the video, was not at all happy and had to be held back from going towards the fan.
After the game, Franklin issued a statement to PennLive.com:
"At the end of the game, I had a heat of the moment exchange with one of the fans in our student section. I was frustrated with the end of the game and should not have reacted that way. We have the greatest fans in the country and I have the utmost respect for their passion for this program."
For the second-straight season, Ohio State engineered a double-digit come-from-behind victory late in the fourth quarter against Penn State, this time topping the Lions 27-26 in Happy Valley.
