After a win over Minnesota in Columbus last week, Ohio State took a significant step back in a 49-20 loss to Purdue at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette. The loss dropped the Buckeyes' overall record to 7-1 before hosting Nebraska, after a bye week, on Nov. 3.
In the loss, Dwayne Haskins threw for 470 yards on 49-of-73 passing but the Buckeyes' defense allowed 378 through the air and an additional 161 on the ground. Purdue's Rondale Moore was as advertised, totaling 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns on 12 receptions while running back D.J. Knox ran for 128 yards and three scores.
