What's probably worse than a really garbage loss against a supposedly inferior opponent is the idea that a lot of if felt inevitable. Ohio State's pass defense had been getting progressively worse as the season wore on, their running game was increasingly nonexistent, and though the passing game has been putting up huge numbers, it turns out that doesn't really matter too much when you can't get your opponent off the field!
The good news is that the Buckeyes have some time to fix at least a little bit of these seemingly endemic issues within the program before they have to take on the likes of Sparty and Michigan. The bad news is that the real solution to these problems may involve wholesale coaching changes at various unit groups, and that's not going to happen anytime soon.
But hey! We still have memes. SOCIAL REACTIONS!

Ive gotten to a place to root for all of these young college guys. I go around and talk to too many schools do not have multiple favorite teams. These kids are just chasing their dreams. Real random but true.

Can we get a side by side of the calls during the first four games vs the last four games...? Asking for a friend

Hard to change angles when the line of scrimmage is being pushed back three yards every play. Doesnt matter where you run if you are getting whipped up front. https://t.co/QN9ncS3JLY

Tough night if youre an Ohio State fan, but I do hope everyone can find it in their hearts to be happy for @theTylerTrent. What an incredible moment for him, and some things are simply bigger than football.

Post game @BoilerFootball locker room w/ @theTylerTrent. This was his wish. To be here. To watch his team play Ohio St. And @JeffBrohm made sure he was in the locker room post game to celebrate with the Boilers. Never forget this day. Thank you Tyler for sharing your story. pic.twitter.com/ID74TT7joL

And that does it for this week. Time to regroup, think about life, and maybe fix everything that's wrong with Ohio State football. See you after the bye!
