Eddie George will always be a legend in Columbus, but the former Ohio State running back has gained equal status in Tennessee.
The former Heisman Trophy winner had his number retired by the Titans during a halftime ceremony of Sunday's game between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.

In nine NFL seasons (the first eight of which were with the Titans), George ran for 10,441 yards and 68 touchdowns. He added over 2,200 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns through the air throughout his career.
George was the NFL rookie of the year in 1996 and earned four Pro Bowl selections during his eight-year stint in Tennessee.
George's number was retired during an emotional ceremony alongside former teammate and quarterback Steve McNair, who was murdered in 2009. Members of McNair's family joined George during the presentation.
