Ohio State holds steady at No. 2 in both polls.
Ohio State pulverized the Wolverines yesterday in Ann Arbor with yet another offensive masterpiece. Justin Fields tossed four touchdown passes and had what many are viewing as a Heisman moment when he returned from a knee injury and connected with Garrett Wilson on a perfect touchdown strike.
Outside of the blowout at the Big House, this week's key contests included LSU destroying the Aggies by a score of 50-7 and a classic Iron Bowl battle that saw Auburn top Alabama by a field goal. Both polls have the same top four this week with LSU, Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia.
The Buckeyes entered the weekend No. 1 in the playoff rankings and No. 2 in both the AP and coaches polls. Ohio State did receive 17 first-place votes (compared to just seven last week). LSU received 43 votes for the top spot while Dabo Swinney's Tigers received three.
Wisconsin moved up to No. 10 in both polls while Nick Saban's Crimson Tide fell to No. 9. The Wolverines and Golden Gophers each remain inside the top-20 in both polls.
The Buckeyes will look to take down the Badgers next weekend in Indy. LSU and Georgia will do battle for the SEC championship. Clemson will face Virginia for the ACC crown.
