The Big Ten Parents are uniting.
Representatives from the parent groups at five different Big Ten schools – Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Iowa – are set to meet on Sunday night to unify and align their message to Big Ten commissioner Kevin Warren following the postponement of fall sports.
We are looking forward to meeting with PARENT GROUP representatives from @HawkeyeFootball @OhioStateFB @UMichFootball @MSU_Football tonight to align our message. We may cheer against each other on Saturdays but WE ARE UNITED ON THIS FRONT!! @bigten @KevinFWarren #BigTenParents pic.twitter.com/XapNf9YvJf

Each of the parent groups has called for transparency and communication from Warren since the Big Ten's decision to postpone fall sports. But this marks the first attempt to unify that message across the groups.
Several parents of Big Ten athletes participated in a rally near the Big Ten headquarters in Chicago led by Randy Wade, the father of Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade. Multiple parents of Ohio State players along with parents from Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois took part in the rally in which they primarily called for transparency.
“When we say ‘Let us play,’ we don’t necessarily mean play for the fall,” Wade said during his speech at Friday’s rally, just before starting a ‘Let us play’ chant. “When we say ‘Let us play,’ we mean show us transparency. When we say ‘Let us play,’ we mean communicate. When we say ‘Let us play,’ we mean our kids are important to us.”
