Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
Kyle McCord is “officially” a Buckeye.
The five-star freshman quarterback became the seventh member of Ohio State's freshman class of 2021 to have his black stripe removed when his stripe came off on Thursday.

McCord, who came to Ohio State as the No. 27 overall player in the country and the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the 2021 recruiting class, has been competing for the starting quarterback job with C.J. Stroud and Jack Miller this offseason. Although Stroud has been viewed as the frontrunner in that competition, and Ryan Day said Monday that he could choose a starting quarterback by the start of next week, McCord appeared to have moved in front of Miller in the pecking order during practices that were open to the media this week.
McCord, like all of the other freshmen who have lost their black stripes so far this year, participated in spring practices as an early enrollee, making Thursday's eighth practice of preseason camp his 23rd practice as a Buckeye.
