Jesse Mirco has “officially” become a member of the scarlet and gray.
The first-year Aussie punter took one step closer to becoming the team's starter on Friday, shedding his black stripe to become an “official” Buckeye.

“I just want to thank you boys for welcoming me into the brotherhood, all the coaching staff for the opportunity – coach Mick, coach Chris and the strength, staff and all the specs,” Mirco said. “Go Bucks.”
Mirco becomes the eighth true freshman in the 2021 class to have his black stripe removed. He will continue to battle with junior punter Michael O'Shaughnessy for the team's starting spot this fall.
