The biggest #BOOM of Fourth of July came in the afternoon.
Ohio State landed one of its biggest commitments ever on Sunday afternoon when five-star defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau pledged his talents to the Buckeyes.
With his commitment to Ohio State, Tuimoloau became the highest-rated defensive player to commit to the Buckeyes in the modern recruiting era and put a bookend on Ohio State's already-loaded 2021 class, giving the Buckeyes six composite five-star prospects, three of which are ranked in the top 10.
Here's some context:

That's it. That's the list. https://t.co/WIJ8wDtaxG
Ryan Day has been Ohio State coach for two and a half years and has landed ~four~ higher-rated recruits than Urban Meyer ever signed.

(and that's not even including Justin Fields)
They both happen to be the two highest-rated defensive players to sign with Ohio State in the modern era. https://t.co/tYCsieuFFs

Needless to say, it was a massive commitment. And the social celebration from Ohio State matched the occasion.

I don't pay a lick of attention to recruiting so I have no idea if this is good, but it's pretty cool things finally seem to be going Ohio State's way https://t.co/Kui8bJ92fa

Tuimoloau will soon join the Buckeyes on campus to begin preparations for the 2021 season.
