Raekwon McMillan has been bitten by the injury bug again.
The former Ohio State linebacker, who signed with the New England Patriots this offseason, tore his ACL during a recent practice and will be unable to play this season, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Saturday.
#Patriots LB Raekwon McMillan suffered a torn ACL during a recent practice and is out for the season, per me and @TomPelissero. He was absent from yesterdays practice. This is the second torn ACL for the former #Dolphins 2nd round pick, but this time on the other knee.

It's the second time McMillan has suffered a torn ACL in his NFL career, as he previously missed his entire rookie season with the Miami Dolphins after tearing his ACL during a preseason game in 2017.
McMillan bounced back from that injury to become the starting middle linebacker for the Dolphins in 2018 and 2019, but was a backup for most of last season after the Dolphins traded him to the Las Vegas Raiders. He signed a one-year, $1.1485 million deal with the Patriots in March and was competing for a roster spot in training camp.
Now, he'll have to start the process of signing a one-year deal and trying to earn his way onto a roster – whether in New England or elsewhere – all over again in 2022, as he's destined to spend the 2021 season on injured reserve.
