Nate Ebner is back.
It looks like the Buckeye special teams ace will be back in the NFL for another season as the New York Giants are reportedly re-signing Ebner.
Ebner had been recovering from an offseason injury that kept him from competing with the U.S. Olympic rugby team in the Tokyo Olympic Games this summer. However, the Giants have been clear about plans to bring Ebner back this season.
Ebnere appeared in all 16 games for the Giants last season and was the team's special teams captain while also playing 39 snaps on defense.
This will be the 10th season in the NFL for the former Ohio State walk-on after he spent his first eight seasons with the New England Patriots where he won three Super Bowls and was a second-team All-Pro in 2016.
With Ebner's addition to the Gaints' roster, the Buckeyes now have 51 former players on active NFL rosters heading into the 2021 season – good for second among all teams, behind only Alabama's 53.
