He's already started a game, but now he's "officially" a Buckeye.
Noah Ruggles was Ohio State's starting placekicker, went 6-for-6 on extra points and even hit a field goal – all before formally shedding his black stripe.
He won't have to worry about that technicality anymore, however, as Ruggles lost his black stripe on Tuesday.

"I'd just want to thank everybody here," Ruggles said after shedding his stripe. "Y'all treated me like family from the start. I appreciate all of y'all."
Ruggles transferred to Ohio State from North Carolina this offseason and battled with second-year kicker Jake Seibert for starting placekicker duties and presumably won the starting job as he was the lone kicker to make the road trip to Minnesota last week.
