Let's talk about Tim Brando.
Well, the whole Fox Sports presentation, really, but Tim Brando was the droningly repetitious symbol of the entire assy experience. The game itself was bad, but made worse by Brando whiffing on every opportunity to make what appeared to be a grainy, upscaled 120p stream even remotely watchable.
Actually, "whiffing" implies that he tried. Swinging and missing is noble on some level, because it shows that you give even a little bit of a shit. Brando didn't even do that, evidently refusing to so much as glance at the roster sheet before the game as he waxed poetic about the one player he seemed to be familiar with (Master Teague, for reasons unknown) and utterly butchered the pronunciations of the players he wasn't (it's "too-ee-moe-low-ow" and "nah-oh-tay-oh-tay," you bum). Probably not a coincidence that Brando had almost nothing to say about any of the freshman who played yesterday, since that'd have required two minutes of research on his part.
Everything about Saturday felt low effort, but the broadcast felt like some particularly thin gruel. Maybe Brando can explain the product on the screen when he inevitably finds this silly post after doing his hourly Google search for his own name.

For those who may be wondering or don't know much about Tulsa. Here's some insight. They are not a good football team. At all.

THE REST
I just texted Archie Griffin congratulating him on his @OhioStateFB freshman single-game record 239 yards rushing lasting 49 years until @TreVeyonH4 just broke it. In typical classing Archie fashion he responded: "He's going to be spectacular!"

Haven't been this rattled by such an inferior opponent since something called "Boo Jackson" had the Buckeyes on the ropes over 13 years ago.https://t.co/tZBZGlnGAa pic.twitter.com/N6PTeYzWn7

Next week's tilt against Akron is on BTN, so no matter what the game looks like on the field, my guess it'll be a thousand times better on my television.
