C.J. Stroud was honored by Ohio State on Sunday after leading the Buckeyes to a 52-13 win over Rutgers on Saturday.
Stroud was named Sunday as Ohio State's offensive player of the game for his performance in the rout of Rutgers, in which he completed 17 of 23 passing attempts for 330 yards and five touchdowns.

That confirms that Stroud – who's likely in line to win his third Big Ten Freshman of the Week honor of the season come Monday – also graded out as a champion for the first time in his Ohio State career, becoming the first Buckeye quarterback to earn champion honors this season, though Ohio State's full list of champions won't be announced until Monday afternoon.
Ronnie Hickman was named as Ohio State's defensive player of the game after leading the Buckeyes in tackles against his home-state school. The New Jersey native was credited with 12 tackles on the game's official box score, though Ohio State's coaches gave him credit for 13 tackles – nine solo tackles and four assists.

As the defensive player of the game, Hickman continues his streak of being named a champion after every Ohio State win this year. He's the only defensive player who's graded out as a champion in all four victories.
Walk-on linebacker Cade Kacherski and sixth-year cornerback Demario McCall split Ohio State's special teams player of the game honors against Rutgers. It's the second time this year that Kacherski has earned special teams player of the game honors, as he was also recognized as a co-special teams player of the game for Ohio State's win over Tulsa in its third game of the year.
