Five Ohio State players earned player of the game honors for their performances against Nebraska.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was Ohio State’s lone offensive player of the game while Ronnie Hickman and Tyreke Smith split defensive player of the game honors and Noah Ruggles and Jesse Mirco split special teams player of the game honors for Ohio State's 26-17 win over Nebraska.
Smith-Njigba, who was the Buckeyes’ only offensive champion against Penn State, is honored after setting a new Ohio State single-game record with 15 receptions against the Huskers, topping David Boston's previous record of 14. His 240 yards were the second-most in a single game behind Terry Glenn’s 253 yards against Pittsburgh in 1995. He was also responsible for one of the team's two touchdowns against Nebraska.
