TreVeyon Henderson is officially a 1,000-yard rusher.
For just the fourth time in program history, a true freshman has reached the 1,000-yard mark on the ground as Henderson reached the milestone in the second quarter of Ohio State's matchup with Purdue.
Henderson joins Robert Smith, Maurice Clarett and J.K. Dobbins as the only true freshmen to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season. Mike Weber also eclipsed the milestone as a redshirt freshman in 2016.
Of the four, Henderson has been by far the most efficient runner, averaging 7.2 yards per carry. Smith averaged 6.4 yards per carry, Clarett averaged 5.6 yards per carry and Dobbins averaged 6.0 yards per carry.
