In case anyone forgot about Garrett Wilson while he was sidelined last week, the star wideout provided plenty of reminders on Saturday.
In the first half alone against Purdue, Wilson found the end zone three times, with two touchdowns through the air and another on the ground. Wilson finished the first 30 minutes of play with 67 yards on seven receptions, and another 51 yards rushing on a single handoff to the house. Wilson added to those totals early in the third quarter, and scored his fourth touchdown of the game on a 24-yard pass play on the Buckeyes' first possession of the second half.
Last week, Wilson was held out against Nebraska as he remained in concussion protocol. It was the first game the Texas native missed all season.
Wilson's first touchdown of the game came on Ohio State's first offensive possession, as C.J. Stroud found him for a 21-yard score before four minutes had expired in the opening quarter. Early in the second quarter, Wilson hauled in a contested 12-yard catch in the end zone with a Boilermaker defensive back draped all over him. The score gave Ohio State a 35-7 lead after the extra point.

Six minutes later, Ryan Day got creative Wilson, giving him a handoff on an end-around that produced another explosive score for the Buckeyes. It was the sixth straight touchdown for Ohio State in as many possessions to start the game.

At halftime, the Buckeyes went into the locker room with a 45-17 lead over Purdue, and extended that advantage to 52-17 following another score from Wilson to open the second half.
