Joseph, who founded the band in Columbus, Ohio in 2009, was born and raised in Columbus and even attended Ohio State briefly.
"Big moment for me," Joseph said. "I've been a College GameDay fan my entire life. I've lived in Ohio my entire life. I went to Ohio State for two-and-a-half years until l dropped out."
Twenty One Pilots won a Grammy Award in 2017 for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song "Stressed Out," and has reached several music milestones.
The duo is the first band in the history of music to see every song on two albums earn gold or platinum award and is just the third rock act in history to have two singles simultaneously chart in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100, joining the Beatles and Elvis Presley.
Joseph and Dun will make their picks at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN's College GameDay pregame show ahead of Ohio State's matchup with Michigan State at noon.
