Ohio State is in the top three for one of the top players currently in the transfer portal.
Miles Frazier, a transfer offensive tackle from Florida International, released a top three on Monday night that includes the Buckeyes, Florida State and LSU.

Frazier is ranked by 247Sports as the 10th-best prospect and the No. 1 offensive tackle in the transfer portal this year. He has received offers from a multitude of Power 5 programs since entering the portal, also including Auburn, Boston College, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, N.C. State, Ole Miss, Rutgers, Syracuse, Texas A&M and UCLA, among others.
A New Jersey native, Frazier was only a two-star recruit out of high school but quickly emerged as a star at FIU, where he started at left tackle this past season. He was named as a Freshman All-American by The Athletic after Pro Football Focus graded him as the best freshman offensive tackle in the country for the 2021 season, in which he allowed just four sacks in 377 pass-blocking snaps.
It’s unclear exactly where Frazier would fit into Ohio State’s plans on the offensive line next season, though that could depend on whether Nicholas Petit-Frere and/or Dawand Jones choose to enter the 2022 NFL draft. Presumably, Frazier would be in line to compete for an immediate starting spot for the Buckeyes if he chooses Ohio State. While Paris Johnson Jr. is a likely candidate to start at one tackle spot after starting at guard this past season, the Buckeyes could potentially be in need of a quick fix at tackle if Petit-Frere and Jones both leave, as their next options at the position would likely be Josh Fryar and Enokk Vimahi.
Ohio State is taking a cautious approach to the transfer portal this offseason, as it opted not to host LSU transfer cornerback Eli Ricks for a visit this past weekend, but that hasn’t stopped the Buckeyes from pursuing Frazier, who received an in-home visit from Ohio State offensive line coach Greg Studrawa last week and an offer from the Buckeyes on Saturday.
The Buckeyes are also pursuing former Oklahoma tight end Austin Stogner, who made an official visit to Ohio State over the weekend and is expected to choose between the Buckeyes, South Carolina and Iowa State. (Update: Just minutes after this article was published, Stogner announced his commitment to South Carolina, along with former Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler.)
