With just the Rose Bowl to go in the football season, This Week in Twitter returns to 11W.

Eighteen high school seniors also officially announced they’d be joining the Buckeyes in 2022 as they signed their National Letters of Intent with Ohio State during the early signing period. To celebrate, Ohio State called upon former Buckeye greats like Ryan Shazier, Terry McLaurin and Joe Germaine – the high school coach of quarterback signee Devin Brown – to welcome them to Columbus.

Powers was also congratulated by former Buckeye linebackers Darron Lee and Joshua Perry, with Lee quick to remind him of the task at hand.

Meanwhile, the Ohio State signees had some fun with their new coaches by changing their profile pictures on Twitter – with Ryan Day ultimately returning the favor.

Ohio State’s Mark Pantoni topped The Athletic’s survey of the best personnel people in college football. Two prominent former Buckeyes agreed with the praise.

Late Wednesday night, former Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer was let go after less than one full season with the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars and with a 2-11 mark. Former Buckeye linebacker Cie Grant, a stalwart on the 2002 national championship team, had something to say about allegations that Meyer kicked then-Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo in August.

Former Ohio State defensive back Travis Howard, who played his senior year under Meyer during his first season as coach in 2012, also seemingly has something to say.

Meyer's daughter Gigi was quick to defend her father, however, as was former Ohio State wide receiver Michael Thomas.

Ohio State cornerback Cameron Brown announced he was returning for his senior season in 2022, announcing on Twitter that “[t]here are many more memories to make and games to win with my brothers.”

Brown also had a response for anyone who might question his decision.

Ohio State basketball standout E.J. Liddell is understandably bummed that the CBS Sports Classic game the Buckeyes were supposed to play against Kentucky in Las Vegas today was canceled due to a COVID-19 outbreak within the Buckeye program.

The week wasn’t all bad for Liddell, though, as he was named Big Ten Player of the Week last week and celebrated his 21st birthday.

Leading up to the matchup that was supposed to be with Kentucky, Chris Holtmann – a Kentucky native – donated to the Kentucky United telethon to help those affected by the recent tornadoes.

Several men's basketball Buckeyes celebrated their win over Wisconsin by cheering on the women's team at home against Indiana, though it wasn't enough as the Hoosiers prevailed, 86-66.
