Sevyn Banks is following in Joe Burrow’s footsteps.
Like Burrow did in 2018, Banks is transferring from Ohio State to LSU, announcing Tuesday that he will be joining the Tigers for his final season of collegiate eligibility.

Banks will join LSU following the spring semester, according to an official release by the school.
A starter in all eight of Ohio State’s games in 2020, Banks was plagued by a hip injury in his final season as a Buckeye. Having initially planned to enter the 2022 NFL draft before ultimately deciding to play one more year of college football, Banks entered the transfer portal in February.

Ive gained more brothers than I came in with and bonds formed these 4yrs I will cherish a lifetime.
While Banks likely would have been a backup at Ohio State in 2022 with Denzel Burke and Cameron Brown atop the depth chart and Jordan Hancock and Jakailin Johnson emerging behind them, he’ll have a chance to compete for a starting job at LSU, which lost its top four cornerbacks – Derek Stingley Jr., Cordale Flott, Eli Ricks and Dwight McGlothern – from last season. Banks becomes the fourth transfer cornerback to join LSU this offseason, following Mekhi Garner (Louisiana), Jarrick Bernard-Converse (Oklahoma State) and Greg Brooks (Arkansas).
