There’s no surer sign that football season is around the corner than Ohio State beat writers standing outside a hotel to watch players walk in.

As has become an annual rite of passage on the Ohio State beat, members of the media assembled outside the team’s hotel on Sunday evening as the Buckeyes arrived to begin their two weeks of living together as a team during preseason camp.

Ohio State players have come to embrace the tradition as well by wearing clever T-shirts and other creative outfits for their paparazzi shots, and Eleven Warriors was on hand to document the best looks.

Buckeye offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. paid tribute to former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins:

Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba showed support for his brother, MLB player Canaan Smith-Njigba, by wearing his Pittsburgh Pirates jersey:

C.J. Stroud showed his support for former teammate Jameson Williams with his choice of sweatshirt:

The most humorous outfit of the day was that worn by walk-on cornerback Lloyd McFarquhar, who arrived sporting a Winnie the Pooh onesie:

Offensive lineman Toby Wilson and tight end Zak Herbstreit arrived in style:

Indiana native Josh Fryar had a clever T-shirt paying homage to one of the Hoosier State’s favorite sons:

Cincinnati native Jake Seibert wore a Joe Burrow T-shirt, while Arizona native Devin Brown represented the Phoenix Suns.

Noah Ruggles arrived in a Columbus Crew jersey, though his mullet may have been outdone by cornerback Cameron Kittle:

Enokk Vimahi represented his high school alma mater back home in Hawaii:

Cade Stover advertised the family business:

And Marvin Harrison Jr. sped past the cameras:

Eleven Warriors will have a full photo gallery from Sunday’s hotel check-in coming soon.
