Hoosier daddy, Indiana?

As the Buckeyes enter the final quarter of their schedule in the regular season, Ohio State will put its 26-game win streak on the line against Indiana today as the Hoosiers prepare to visit Columbus seeking their first win in Ohio Stadium since 1987.

Even in advance of yet another noon kickoff, the Buckeyes certainly appear sprightly from the moment they woke up this morning.

With hopefully far better weather in store than what Ohio State had to deal with at Northwestern last weekend, C.J. Stroud and the Buckeye passing attack will look to get back on track against an Indiana squad that comes to town on a six-game slide. In fact, the Hoosiers have yet to win a single road game this season and have no conference wins beyond what has proven to be a season-opening stunner against Illinois back in September.

Now just three hours away from kickoff, the authoritative postulators on Ohio State football at Eleven Warriors gladly offer their scoring predictions and provide a glance at the betting market for the 10th game on the Buckeyes' schedule.

Eleven Warriors Staff Score Predictions

Chris Lauderback: Ohio State 56, Indiana 10. "I’m not sure fans will be able to take much from the outcome but I do expect Ohio State to play with more piss and vinegar than last Saturday."

Dan Hope: Ohio State 59, Indiana 10. "Ohio State will be motivated to put up a big number after its offensive struggles in the wind at Northwestern. Indiana has instability at quarterback, one of the worst running games in the country and its best wide receiver is out for the season. This game should be a blowout."

Garrick Hodge: Ohio State 45, Indiana 10. "Ohio State’s offense should get back on track this week being back at Ohio Stadium and not having to worry about insane wind gusts. Plus, Indiana is a mess right now."

George Eisner: Ohio State 52, Indiana 14. "Indiana’s defense thus far allows the third-highest success rate at the FBS level on opposing passing plays (49.8%), so Stroud and the rest of Ohio State’s offense will be eager to air it out after having to operate under such heavy restrictions in their previous outing."

Johnny Ginter: Ohio State 45, Indiana 7. "I want to say this'll be a 70-0 redemptive blowout with the Buckeyes rushing for 500 yards, but at this late in the season I think the team is too twitchy about injuries to go whole hog."

Josh Poloha: Ohio State 48, Indiana 13. "Barely any wind. No rain. Just colder weather in Columbus Saturday afternoon? You love to see it. Ohio State’s offense will have something to prove on Saturday after a below average performance at Northwestern. The Buckeyes will continue their dominating ways over Indiana."

Jason Priestas: Ohio State 51, Indiana 10.

Kyle Jones: Ohio State 49, Indiana 10.

Andy Vance: Ohio State 52, Indiana 7.

Will Ohio State Cover?

While the spread for this contest opened last weekend at 31½ points, that amount has swelled significantly since into a margin of 40½ in favor of the Buckeyes. Ohio State owns a 3-7 record against the spread in their previous 10 games with Indiana, and the Hoosiers have also covered in six straight trips to Columbus. The road team in this matchup also boasts a 6-0 record ATS in the last six meetings between these schools.

Five members of the Eleven Warriors staff believe the Buckeyes will cover today, while eight believe they will fall short of winning by the projected spread. Chase Brown easily has the greatest margin of victory with a forecasted win by nine touchdowns, while Griffin Strom believes Ohio State will miss covering by 12½ points.

What About the Over?

The over/under point total witnessed a smaller increase since open than the spread, with the initial approximation of 57½ rising to 61 as of Saturday morning. Overs have cashed in five straight games between these teams, as the under has not hit in any contest since 2016.

Quite a divide exists among the 11W staff concerning the final overall tally. Six folks have sided with the over, while five back the under and two expect a push. Brown's estimation of 77 points easily serves as the greatest amount, while Johnny Ginter expects a total of just 52 on the day. Jason Priestas and Josh Poloha both dialed in exactly 61 points.
