Kamryn Babb made the first catch of his college career Saturday. It doubled as his first touchdown as the Buckeye captain played his first snaps of the season against Indiana.
Knee injuries have largely derailed Babb's college career to this point, with several ACL tears keeping him off the field for the entirety of the 2018, 2019 and 2021 seasons. Babb played in seven games in 2020, but only in a limited capacity, and never caught a pass.
Babb had yet to play in 2022 before Saturday, but his hard work was rewarded in a major way as Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud found the Block O jersey recipient and team captain for a score to extend the Buckeyes' lead in the fourth quarter.

The play gave Ohio State a 56-14 lead after the extra point and served as a touching moment for Babb, who has worked his way back from a jarring number of season-ending injuries in his time at Ohio State.
