Justin Fields and Jeff Okudah made two of the NFL’s biggest plays of the week, and both of them came against each other within minutes of each other.
Early in the fourth quarter of the Detroit Lions’ game against the Chicago Bears, Okudah made the first pick-six of his NFL career when he intercepted an errant pass by his former Ohio State teammate and returned it 20 yards for a touchdown.

While that pass was certainly a lowlight for Fields, it didn’t take him long to respond in a big way. Just one minute and 18 seconds of game time later, Fields ran for a 67-yard touchdown, putting his elite speed on display as he outran Okudah on his way to the end zone.

Okudah ultimately finished the day with bragging rights as the Lions won the game 31-30. His touchdown played a big part in the Lions’ victory, as did his coverage throughout the game, as he did not allow a single reception in 26 coverage snaps, per Pro Football Focus.
Fields stole the spotlight even in defeat once again, though, as he continued to establish himself as one of the NFL’s rising stars with another spectacular game running the ball.
After breaking the NFL’s single-game record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 178 yards against the Miami Dolphins in Week 9, Fields followed that up by rushing for 147 yards against the Lions. Cumulatively, Fields’ 325 rushing yards over the past two weeks are the most ever by an NFL quarterback in a two-game span. With his 67-yard touchdown run following a 61-yard touchdown one week earlier, Fields made more history by becoming the first quarterback in the Super Bowl era with 60-yard touchdown runs in one season – and doing so in back-to-back games.
Sunday’s game was the first time Fields ran for two touchdowns in the same game, as he scrambled out of a sack for a 1-yard touchdown run late in the first half.

In the process, Fields became the first player in NFL history to throw two touchdown passes, run for two touchdowns and run for 100 yards in the same game, according to CBS Sports. He also became just the fourth player in NFL history with a 50-yard touchdown pass and a 50-yard touchdown run in the same game.
Justin Fields is the 4th player in NFL history to record both a 50-yd pass TD and 50-yd rush TD in the same game, alongside Ace Parker, Cam Newton, and Lamar Jackson.

Cumulatively, Fields accounted for 314 yards of total offense (167 passing yards, 147 rushing yards) and four total touchdowns against the Lions – the second-most he’s had in any game so far in his NFL career. His 147 rushing yards were the second-most (behind New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley) of any player in Week 10, and he now ranks sixth among all NFL players – and first among quarterbacks – with 749 rushing yards this season.
After making history again, Fields earns our Pro Buck of the Week honors for the second week in a row and for the third time in four weeks.

Campbell scores game-winning TD
Parris Campbell’s fourth NFL season has been his most productive year in the league by far, and he had his best game yet in the Indianapolis Colts’ win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
Campbell set a new career-high with 76 receiving yards on seven catches against the Raiders, and his final catch of the day won the game for the Colts. With his team trailing by one point and just over five minutes left to play, Campbell caught a short slant and then turned on the jets to split three defenders with his speed and go all the way to the end zone for a 35-yard touchdown.

That touchdown gave Indianapolis a 25-20 lead that would hold for the Colts to earn their fourth win of the season in Jeff Saturday’s coaching debut.
Bosa dominates on Sunday night
Nick Bosa showed the nation why he is one of the best players in the NFL as he helped lead the San Francisco 49ers to a 22-16 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football.
The former Ohio State defensive end recorded three tackles for loss in Sunday’s game, including a second-quarter sack that brought him to 9.5 – tied for the second-most in the NFL – this season.

The sack was one of four quarterback hits by Bosa in Sunday’s game, bringing him to 24 for the season – five more than any other player in the NFL this year. Per PFF, Bosa had nine total quarterback pressures against the Chargers.
Sunday night’s sack by Nick was also a milestone-achieving sack for the Bosa family, which became just the seventh family of multiple NFL players to top 100 combined sacks in their careers. Nick is now up to 34 sacks in his NFL career, his older brother Joey (who did not play in Sunday night’s game because he remains sidelined by a groin injury) has 59.5 career sacks and their father John had seven sacks during his own three-year NFL career.
With Nick Bosa's sack in the 2nd quarter, the Bosa family (Nick, Joey & John) now have 100.5 sacks combined (and counting)
— NFL Research (@NFLResearch) November 14, 2022
They are the 7th family to amass 100+ combined sacks in their careers (since individual sacks were first officially tracked in 1982, minimum 1.0 sack each)
Even though Joey was unable to play in Sunday’s game, Cheryl Bosa still showed support to both of her sons by wearing a split 49ers/Chargers jersey that may remind Ohio State fans of the jersey worn by Brady Quinn’s sister/A.J. Hawk’s future wife during the 2006 Fiesta Bowl.

McLaurin shines on Monday night
Another Buckeye shined in the national spotlight on Monday Night Football when Terry McLaurin played a key role in the Washington Commanders handing the Philadelphia Eagles their first loss of the season.
McLaurin caught eight passes for 128 yards, the fourth-most of any receiver in the NFL this week and the second-highest single-game yardage total of McLaurin’s career. He delivered one of the biggest highlights of the night when he beat Eagles cornerback Darius Slay and made an excellent over-the-shoulder catch for a 41-yard gain.

Quick hits
- Curtis Samuel also contributed to the Commanders’ 32-21 win over the Eagles, catching two passes for 28 yards and running the ball four times for 12 yards, including a key 4th-and-1 conversion on the Commanders’ go-ahead touchdown drive in the second quarter that gave them the lead they would hold for the remainder of the game.
Don't believe this play is meant to hit where Samuel cuts. Typically its all about getting to the edge, but Samuel felt Eagles flowing outside and saw a chance to cut inside to get the yard. Great play to convert pic.twitter.com/kM7z6S8Kpj
