As one of the best receivers in America this season, Marvin Harrison Jr. was named one of 12 semifinalists for the Biletnikoff Award on Monday.
The second-year Buckeye has been sensational for Ohio State this season, collecting 65 catches for 1,037 yards and 11 touchdowns through 11 games. For his efforts, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation tabbed him as one of the best wideouts in college football in 2022.

Harrison is only the eighth player in Ohio State history to surpass more than 1,000 receiving yards in a single season. He accompanies teammate Jaxon Smith-Njigba – who was on the Biletnikoff Award watch list entering the year but has only played in three games because of a hamstring injury – and former Buckeyes David Boston, Terry Glenn, Cris Carter, Michael Jenkins, Parris Campbell and Garrett Wilson as the players to accomplish that feat.
The Philadelphia native is the fourth-fastest Ohio State receiver to reach the milestone. Glenn only needed eight games, while Smith-Njigba and Boston reached 1,000 yards in 10. Meanwhile, Harrison achieved quadruple digits in the Maryland game – his 11th appearance of the season.
In addition to his impressive statistics, Harrison has also made several incredible catches this season that has caught the attention of the college football world, namely his acrobatic receptions against Michigan State and Indiana.

Harrison will look to become only the second player in Ohio State history to win the Biletnikoff, named after former Florida State and Oakland Raiders receiver Fred Biletnikoff. As it stands, Glenn is the lone Buckeye to win the award after recording 64 receptions for 1,411 yards and 17 touchdowns in 1995.
This year, Harrison is one of two Big Ten receivers named semifinalists along with Purdue's Charlie Jones. The other semifinalists are USC's Jordan Addison, Georgia's Brock Bowers, Houston's Nathaniel Dell, Boston College's Zay Flowers, Iowa State's Xavier Hutchinson, Tennessee's Jalin Hyatt, TCU's Quentin Johnston, SMU's Rashee Rice.
The three finalists for the Biletnikoff will be announced later this month. The winner will be selected at the ESPN College Football Awards show on Dec. 8 following the weekend of conference championship games.
