As Ohio State football dives deeper into the offseason, the Buckeyes made a few additions to their future schedules.

The program announced one schedule alteration and three new schedule agreements on Wednesday, including a date change for the Western Michigan matchup in 2024 and the reveal of three new opponents in the years to come: Marshall in 2024 and Nevada and Charlotte in 2029.

Originally scheduled for Sept. 21, 2024, Ohio State's contest with Western Michigan will now occur on Sept. 7, 2024. The Broncos will be the Buckeyes' second opponent of the season after their home opener with Southern Miss on Aug. 31. Ohio State has faced Western Michigan once before on Sept. 26, 2015, when the Buckeyes earned a 38-12 win over the Broncos, who were then led by current Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck.

With Western Michigan's visit to Columbus moved up two weeks, Ohio State filled the vacant Sept. 21, 2024, slot with Marshall. The Thundering Herd are another opponent the Buckeyes have officially* faced once in program history, with Ohio State defeating the West Virginia school, 24-21, on Sept. 11, 2004, in Columbus.

Ohio State also announced Wednesday that it will host Nevada and Charlotte in 2029. As the Buckeyes' first scheduled opponent for that season, the Wolf Pack will travel to Ohio Stadium on Sept. 1. Charlotte will arrive one week later on Sept. 8. Ohio State has never played either school.

*Ohio State also played Marshall on Sept. 2, 2010, and defeated the Thundering Herd 45-7 in Ohio Stadium. However, that win is not officially recognized by the program after the events of "Tattoogate," an incident that resulted in five Buckeyes – Terrelle Pryor, DeVier Posey, Dan "Boom" Herron, Mike Adams and Solomon Thomas – receiving punishment for selling personal memorabilia in exchange for tattoos, a violation of NCAA rules.
