Steele Chambers has received an accolade for his standout performance in Week 3.
On Monday, representatives from the East-West Shrine Bowl named Chambers the Shrine Bowl Defensive Breakout Player of the Week after he collected eight tackles (four solo), one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one interception in the Buckeyes' 63-10 win over the Hilltoppers on Saturday.

Chambers' eight tackles ranked second on the team behind fellow linebacker Tommy Eichenberg, who recorded 10 tackles (nine solo) in Ohio State's 53-point blowout victory. Chambers also accompanied Tyleik Williams, Jack Sawyer, Mitchell Melton, Lathan Ransom, Jaden McKenzie, Denzel Burke and Omari Abor as one of eight Buckeyes to record a tackle for loss, and he was one of two Buckeyes along with Jermaine Mathews Jr. to record an interception.
This season, Chambers is second on the team behind Eichenberg (20) with 19 tackles and third behind Eichenberg (15) and Davison Igbinosun (11) with 10 solo stops. The Roswell, Georgia, native has also collected one tackle for loss, one interception and one pass breakup across Ohio State's first three regular-season games.
For his career, Chambers has recorded 143 tackles across 40 appearances for the Buckeyes, including starts in 20 consecutive contests dating back to Ohio State's matchup with Nebraska on Nov. 6, 2021.
