Ohio State is down one of its star receivers against Maryland, at least for the time being.
After being tackled on a fourth-quarter reception against the Terrapins, Egbuka came up hobbled.
He at first attempted to jog off the field but was told to go down by Ohio State's coaches and training staff. After being brought back to his feet, he was helped off the field with assistance from the trainers and taken into the Buckeyes' medical tent.
Day said following the game that Egbuka is still being looked at by medical personnel, but he is optimistic that it isn't anything long-term.
"They're evaluating him now," Day said. "Doesn't seem like something major, but I don't really have much of an answer for you right now."
After his trip to the medical tent, Egbuka returned to Ohio State's sideline and was seen on the team's exercise bike. He did not return to the game.
Following the contest, 10TV saw Egbuka in a walking boot exiting the Buckeyes' locker room.
