For the first time this season, Ohio State was down a starting offensive lineman.

After not coming onto the field for Ohio State's final drive of the first half against Minnesota, right guard Matthew Jones was escorted back to the Buckeyes' locker room by the team's training staff.

Jones returned to start the second half for the Buckeyes, however.

Jones has started every game at right guard for Ohio State this season, with Saturday's start against the Golden Gophers marking the 28th of his career. He was the Buckeyes' full-time starter at right guard in 2022 as well.

Enokk Vimahi took Jones' place at right guard on OSU's offensive line for the one drive the latter was out.
