This article is probably very exciting for the three or so people who were anxiously awaiting a mea culpa from yours truly, for the heinous crime of picking Oregon over the Buckeyes.

And initially that was justified: Ohio State came out firing on all cylinders, again, scoring a quick touchdown and preventing the Ducks from responding. "Ah ha," the haters gleefully thought to themselves, "surely now Johnny Ginter will be forced back into the inky depths from whence he came, tail between his legs!"

But then the Buckeyes scored again. And again. And again and again and again, and suddenly it was 34-0 and nobody, I repeat — NOBODY on this planet could've possibly seen that coming and if you say that you did you are a damn liar. That was the most baffling and glorious half of football ever played, to the point where I think the Buckeyes were a little shocked themselves at how it played out.

There will be time to dissect what went so incredibly right for Ohio State (an underrated narrative this year is Will Howard evolving into an incredibly accurate passer) and so devastatingly wrong for Oregon (I think there's a lot to be said for teams with a bye not being mentally ready for the challenge), but one thing is for sure: there's no way in hell I'm picking against Ryan Day and company again in this playoff. Because holy shit!
