Years of heartache led to Ohio State's national championship moment on Monday, and the Buckeyes celebrated appropriately.
After a round of hugs and embraces on the field – where Lathan Ransom had to ask Ryan Day what Ohio State's doubters will say now – the Buckeyes hopped on stage to hoist the College Football Playoff national championship trophy. Ohio State's seniors and stars then took turns kissing the golden hardware.
Quarterback Will Howard and defensive end Caden Curry each got to sport a giant championship ring and left guard Luke Montgomery let out a roar to the Buckeye faithful as he exited the field. Eleven Warriors got plenty of video of the on-field jubilation, which you can watch at the top of the page.
Amid their celebration, Ohio State of course joined its fans for its final and most triumphant rendition of Carmen Ohio this season.
