They did it.

In spite of all injuries, losses, setbacks and shortcomings, the Ohio State Buckeyes have won the 2024-25 College Football Playoff National Championship. OSU stands undisputed atop the landscape of the sport for at least the next year until the time comes to potentially defend its crown.

There's in fact so much to celebrate that The Eleven Dubcast had to arrive a couple days late this week — although the title game taking place on a Monday night certainly didn't help the recording schedule. Thank you for your patience, now it's time to reflect on the ultimate triumph!

Additionally, the Dubcast discussion also covers:

  • Notre Dame scored the first points of the game as the Fighting Irish had a lot of success on their opening drive. Did that make you nervous?
  • This was easily the most action the Buckeyes had on the ground across any of their CFP performances. Does that come as a surprise given the opponent?
  • Chip Kelly was in his bag for this finale from OSU's opening possession. What was the best play call?
  • Ask Us Anything — writers to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com this week inquired about many topics, such as the frontal assault that let to Ryan Day's Gatorade bath after he yeeted his headset.
  • The last three National Championships for Ohio State have all been special in their own unique ways. How should fans rank them?
  • The people that hate Ryan Day more than they love the Buckeyes now claiming they "bullied" the head coach into summitting the mountaintop of the sport should lose their tongues forever.

And that does it for the Dubcast this week! Watch the show now on YouTube above, listen via the mini player below or visit our Transistor page for links to other listening options such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more.

Thank you for listening, check out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next time!
