Brown, who was born in Louisiana, attended Warren Easton High School in New Orleans as a freshman and sophomore before completing his high school career at Lakota West in Cincinnati. He signed with Ohio State's 2022 class as a four-star prospect. He was considered the No. 24 cornerback and No. 192 overall recruit in his class, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
As a freshman, Brown appeared in 10 games at cornerback and on special teams. He played the most defensive snaps among Ohio State freshmen (197) and ended the season with eight tackles, three pass breakups and one forced fumble.
Brown's snap count decreased this past season as Denzel Burke, Davison Igbinosun and Jordan Hancock consumed most of the reps in Tim Walton's cornerback room. Brown appeared in four games, recording one tackle, and preserved his redshirt. He will have three years of eligibility to use with the Tigers.
Brown is the second former Buckeye to transfer to a new school on Thursday, as Noah Rogers announced his commitment to NC State in the afternoon. He is also the third former Ohio State cornerback to transfer to LSU in as many years as JK Johnson moved to Baton Rouge after the 2022 season while Sevyn Banks matriculated to LSU from Ohio State before the 2022 season.
Along with Brown and Rogers, former Buckeyes who have transferred to new teams include quarterback Kyle McCord (Syracuse), running backs Evan Pryor (Cincinnati) and Chip Trayanum (Kentucky), wide receiver Julian Fleming (Penn State), centers Victor Cutler Jr. (Louisville) and Jakob James (Toledo), defensive end Omari Abor (SMU), linebacker Reid Carrico (West Virginia), cornerback Ryan Turner (Boston College), safeties Kye Stokes (Cincinnati) and Cameron Martinez (Boston College) and punter Jesse Mirco (Vanderbilt).
As it stands, wide receiver Bryson Rodgers, defensive tackle Jaden McKenzie, tight end Joe Royer and kicker Parker Lewis are the four Buckeyes who are still in the portal.
