He said hell have more tests in March before making a final decision.
Linsley played in just three games for the Los Angeles Chargers this season before he was placed on the non-football illness list after a non-emergent heart issue was discovered.
Before the medical setback, Linsley was considered one of the top centers in the NFL. Selected by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft, Linsley started 132 games in 10 NFL seasons between the Packers and the Chargers, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2020 and Pro Bowl honors in 2021.
Linsley became the highest-paid center in the NFL when he signed a five-year, $62.5 million contract with the Chargers in 2021.
Linsley played for Ohio State from 2009-13, starting at center in each of his last two seasons with the Buckeyes. The Youngstown native earned first-team All-Big Ten honors as a fifth-year senior in 2013, when he was also a team captain for the Buckeyes.
