Ohio State’s Nov. 16 game against Northwestern will reportedly be played at the home of the Chicago Cubs.
Matthew Shelton and Louie Vaccher of Wildcat Report, Rivals’ Northwestern site, reported Wednesday that Wrigley Field is set to host the Wildcats’ home game against the Buckeyes.
Northwestern has not yet officially announced locations for any of its 2024 home games.
“Northwestern is still exploring options for where the team will play next season. At this time, contracts with venues are still being finalized and we will share information with you as soon as possible,” Northwestern said in a statement to Wildcat Report.
Northwestern will play its home games at multiple venues this year following the demolition of the old Ryan Field. While Northwestern is building a new Ryan Field, it will not be open until 2026.
According to Wildcat Report, the Ohio State game is one of only two Northwestern games this season with a location that is “pretty much set.” Its Oct. 5 game against Indiana will be played at SeatGeek Stadium, a soccer stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. Wrigley Field and SeatGeek Stadium are both expected to host multiple Northwestern games this season, per the report. Other venues being explored as options include Soldier Field, the home of the Chicago Bears; Lambeau Field, the home of the Green Bay Packers, could also host one game.
