Many out there may view Ohio State's quarterback competition as a foregone conclusion after Will Howard transferred in from Kansas State, but Lincoln Kienholz and Devin Brown don't see it that way.
During their interview sessions with the media on Monday, both Brown and Kienholz expressed confidence that they could win the starting job for the Buckeyes. Brown went so far as to call those speculating that he should transfer "cowards."
In terms of players that will be protecting either Howard, Brown or Kienholz, left guard Donovan Jackson dove into his decision to come back and said his offseason preparation has been motivated by his final play against Michigan last year, when he allowed a quarterback hit that led to a game-sealing interception for the Wolverines.
Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka also met with the media and talked about how sophomore standouts Brandon Inniss and Carnell Tate have been pushing each other at the wide receiver position. Egbuka is also the latest player to give freshman wideout Jeremiah Smith a rave review, joining Howard in sending praise his way on Monday.
We discuss all this and more in our latest edition of Press Coverage, which you can watch in the video at the top of the page.
