Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly met with the Ohio State media for the first time on Tuesday, and if his words are to be believed, his fit in Ryan Day's program seems glove-like.
Having known Day since the Ohio State head coach was in his youth, Kelly's reasoning for coming to Columbus was to step back from a head coaching role and go somewhere he could run an offense, coach a position and be happy around people he enjoys.
The first 45 minutes of the Buckeyes' first spring practice were open to the media as well on Tuesday, and two of the most noteworthy takeaways were Sonny Styles playing linebacker and Luke Montgomery lining up at right guard.
Overall, the depth of talent on Ohio State's roster is striking as it starts another spring. There aren't many question marks on the depth chart as of March, making the expectations for the 2024 season nothing less than a national championship.
