Houston Texans Re-Signing Former Ohio State Wide Receiver Noah Brown to One-Year Deal

Former Ohio State wide receiver Noah Brown is re-signing with the Houston Texans on a one-year deal, according to multiple reports. Per KPRC’s Aaron Wilson, Brown’s one-year deal includes $3 million guaranteed and carries a maximum value of $5 million.

Despite being sidelined by multiple injuries last season, Brown set a career-high with 567 receiving yards in just 10 games. He caught 33 total passes and scored two touchdown in 2023. He played a huge role in helping lead the Texans to two of their biggest wins of the season when he caught seven passes for 172 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals and six passes for 153 yards and a score against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both games in which Stroud led the Texans on game-winning drives in the final two minutes.

Brown underwent labrum surgery after suffering a shoulder injury in the Texans’ wild-card round win over the Cleveland Browns but is expected to make a full recovery, per KPRC’s Aaron Wilson.

Brown is one of two former Buckeyes to sign one-year deals with the Texans on the opening day of NFL free agency along with former Ohio State cornerback Jeff Okudah, who joins Brown and Stroud as Buckeyes in Houston.
