Another Ohio State staff member will wear maize and blue this season.
On Tuesday, a source confirmed to Eleven Warriors that Erin Dunston, Ohio State's assistant athletic director for football recruiting and events, has accepted a position as Michigan's director of operations.
Dunston arrived at Ohio State in March 2021 and took over as the Buckeyes' director of on-campus recruiting. Across three years in the role, Dunston managed the budget associated with official visits, unofficial visits, game day recruiting and special events. Despite a promotion in February, she becomes the second Ohio State staff member to leave for Ann Arbor this offseason, joining former running backs coach Tony Alford.
Dunston’s sister, Jillian, is an assistant coach for Michigan’s women’s basketball team.
A graduate of Delaware who obtained her master's degree in kinesiology from LSU, Dunston has previously worked in administrative roles for the Tigers, Kansas and Purdue.
As director of operations for Michigan, Dunston will handle the program's planning and logistics, according to Sam Webb of The Michigan Insider. In her role, she will work with the Wolverines' director of on-campus recruiting Kayli Johnson and report to Scott Goldschmidt, who will now be Michigan's associate athletic director of operations.
