A second day of fall camp told a different story for Ohio State quarterback Will Howard.

While not perfect, the transfer battling to be the Buckeyes' starting quarterback in 2024 made several eye-catching throws and showed some consistent zip on the ball, leading Eleven Warriors' Dan Hope and Andy Anders to agree that he had the best day among Ohio State's quarterbacks.

That's not to discount what those other QBs achieved, though, because both Devin Brown and Julian Sayin had great flashes throwing the ball. Other than the quarterbacks, the tight ends and Calvin Simpson-Hunt were among the other top standouts from practice.

Nickel depth is a concern per Jim Knowles as Lorenzo Styles Jr. nurses a shoulder injury, and we saw Jermaine Mathews Jr. working at the position. Carson Hinzman also returned to practice at center.

We discuss those topics and more in the latest episode of Press Coverage, which you can view in the video player at the top of the page.
