Ohio State Ranked Second in Preseason Coaches Poll

Ohio State is ranked second in the preseason Coaches Poll.

The Buckeyes are ranked No. 2 behind Georgia in the preseason poll, which was released Monday by USA TODAY.

Georgia received 46 out of 55 first-place votes while Ohio State received seven. Texas and Michigan were the only other teams to receive a first-place vote, garnering one each, though the Longhorns are ranked fourth behind Oregon while the Wolverines are ranked eighth.

The newly expanded Big Ten has six teams in the top 25 with Penn State (9th), USC (23rd) and Iowa (25th) also making the list. Washington, Wisconsin, Maryland and Nebraska are among the other teams who received votes.
