Caleb Downs feels thankful to be a member of The Brotherhood.

An offseason transfer from Alabama, the 6-foot, 205-pound defensive back gifted Ohio State-themed Beats to his teammates during preseason camp. Downs, who appeared in a 30-second advertisement for Beats earlier this week, presented the headphones to his teammates inside the locker room at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. As he did, Downs thanked the Buckeyes for welcoming him to the program in January.

"I seriously appreciate y’all for letting me come into The Brotherhood this year. From the bottom of my heart, it means everything,” Downs said. "But we got a job to do. ... We had a good camp. We had a good spring. We had a good summer. Let’s go do what we’re supposed to do.”

When Downs completed his speech, he unboxed the exclusive Beats and showed them to his teammates. Those teammates then swarmed Downs while cheering and moshing.

This is the second time in recent memory an Ohio State football player has gifted an item to the entire roster. In December, quarterback Devin Brown gave his teammates JBL speakers to celebrate Christmas and the Buckeyes' Cotton Bowl practices.
