Jeremiah Smith called it.

On Saturday, Smith secured his first career touchdown reception in the left corner of the south end zone at Ohio Stadium. Months earlier, while he toured the Shoe with some of his former South Florida Express teammates, the Ohio State wide receiver predicted that touchdown would occur in the same spot.

"Who wants to place a bet? Which end zone is JJ's first touchdown gonna be in?" a person asked in the video.

"Right here," Smith responded, his hand pointed to the same location where he recorded his first collegiate score.

That's precisely where it ended up.

Smith shined in Ohio State's 52-6 win over Akron. In addition to the touchdown shown above, Smith added another score before the intermission, a 9-yard strike from Will Howard toward the middle of the north end zone. Smith ended the season opener with six catches for 92 yards and two scores.
