It may only be Week 2, but Ohio State is already considered a heavy favorite in The Game.
After Michigan’s uninspiring start to the season — which included a closer-than-anticipated battle with Fresno State and blowout defeat at the hands of No. 3 Texas — the line of The Game has swung heavily in the Buckeyes’ favor. According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Ohio State is now favored by 17.5 points when the Wolverines trek into Ohio Stadium on Nov. 30.
The Buckeyes opened as a 9.5-point favorite in April, marking a significant shift since the preseason.
The total for the regular season finale now sits at 44.5 points, likely due to Michigan’s offensive woes across the first two weeks of the season. The Wolverine offense has scored just four touchdowns during their two matchups, one of which coming in garbage time against the Longhorns.
If this spread holds for the rest of the season, it would be the third-largest official differential in The Game's history, with only 2014 (-21.5) and 2008 (-20.5) being bigger.
