I did not think that we would be here so quickly. I thought that this kind of dominance would come in fits and starts over the course of September, and by the end of the month we'd have a better idea of what kind of team $20 million could field.

I figured that Ryan Day and Chip Kelly would, eventually, have a running back they felt like leaning on 75% of the time, maybe two wideouts they felt comfortable with, and a quarterback that was inconsistent but good at managing the flow of a football game. I expected Jim Knowles to field a great defense, but one with a few holes (potentially at linebacker or at various points on the defensive line).

But after a few more performances like Ohio State had against Western Michigan, I uhhh may have to recalibrate. Because holy guacamole!
