Ohio State football is back, folks.
After a bye week that seemed like it lasted much longer than a week, the Buckeyes are back on the gridiron and set to take on Marshall this afternoon, with kickoff set for noon on FOX.

As Ohio State prepares for its final non-conference game of the season, the Eleven Warriors staff expects another dominant performance from OSU in the Shoe.
Score Predictions
Andy Anders - Ohio State 52, Marshall 3: Marshall comes off its own bye week and throws some curveballs at the Buckeyes, but it’s not going to do much to slow their roll down. The run game keeps moving and Marshall barely squeaks out a field goal somewhere to dodge the shutout.
Chase Brown - Ohio State 45, Marshall 13: Ohio State will come out of its improvement week eager to dominate its final non-conference opponent of the 2024 regular season; however, it will quickly realize that Marshall is a more formidable team than Akron and Western Michigan. How much more formidable? Well, not that much, but enough to put up more of a fight than the Zips and Broncos did in Columbus.
George Eisner - Ohio State 49, Marshall 3: Buckeyes emerge sharp out of the bye week and keep a third straight opponent out of the end zone. Before the fourth quarter, Charles Huff attempts to negotiate terms of surrender with a peace offering of biscuits.
Jack Emerson - Ohio State 45, Marshall 10: Buckeyes close out non-conference play with another dominant, wire-to-wire win over the Thundering Herd.
Johnny Ginter - Ohio State 52, Marshall 6: I can't pretend to have concerns about the offense against Marshall, although I will be watching Will Howard like a hawk so I can find something petty to complain about. Just kidding, I like having fun and Howard is a fun player, so I vow not to be a wet blanket about any potential ducks he chucks into the ether.
Matt Gutridge - Ohio State 52, Marshall 10: How many times has Ohio State started a season by scoring 50+ points in each of the first two games? Three: 2024, 2018 and 1996. This year’s team could become the first in program history to start the season with 50+ points in each of the first three games.
Garrick Hodge - Ohio State 52, Marshall 3: No forecasted shutout this week for Ohio State, but the Buckeyes continue to look like a dominant team as they conclude this very underwhelming non-conference schedule.
Dan Hope - Ohio State 55, Marshall 3: With an extra week to prepare for an opponent that’s only moderately better than Akron and Western Michigan, I expect Ohio State to complete its non-conference slate by scoring in the fifties and keeping its opponent out of the end zone for a third straight game.
Kyle Jones - Ohio State 56, Marshall 6: The Buckeyes’ warm-up tour finishes with another opponent that is clearly overmatched. Much like the first two games, the DL creates major problems for the Marshall offense in both phases while the OSU offense efficiently marches on, with both star RBs having big days.
Chris Lauderback - Ohio State 45, Marshall 7: The defense yields its first touchdown of the season as the Buckeyes get off to a slow start but easily recover to blow out the Thundering Herd.
Ramzy Nasrallah - Ohio State 52, Marshall 3: The Buckeyes will settle for a field goal at some point so that they can remind themselves how field goals work.
Josh Poloha - Ohio State 49, Marshall 7: The Buckeyes will make it look easy again to close out the non-conference part of the schedule even though they will give up their first touchdown of the season.
Jason Priestas - Ohio State 51, Marshall 3: This Buckeye team continues to roll and grow cohesively, recording a clean performance against a severely overmatched Marshall team.
Jordan Raines - Ohio State 52, Marshall 6: Unfortunately for the Herd, it’s the Buckeyes that do the trampling on Saturday. Ryan Day’s offense comes out fast, while the defense keeps up its dominance. Bucks cruise to a 52-6 win and turn their attention to next week’s clash with another team from that terrible state up north.
Will Ohio State Cover?
The Buckeyes enter this afternoon's game as 40-point favorites, a number that has very slightly decreased after it opened with OSU as a 40.5-point favorite over Marshall.
While all of 11W's staff believes Ohio State will dominate the Thundering Herd, three members of the Eleven Warriors staff – Chase Brown, Jack Emerson and Chris Lauderback – don't believe the Buckeyes will cover the near-six touchdown spread.
What About the Over/Under?
The total for the game has slightly increased from where it opened, as the current over/under for this afternoon's game between Ohio State and Marshall sits at 52.5 points after opening at 51.5.
Much like Ohio State covering the spread, the majority of the Eleven Warriors staff believes the Buckeyes and Thundering Herd will hit the over. Two members of the 11W staff – George Eisner and Chris Lauderback – believe the total won't reach that mark, missing out by the hook, as both Eisner and Lauderback have the two teams combining for 52 points.
